
Overview:
CLUBHOOPS® START is a skill development class tailored to fill the void of basketball instruction for the beginner player with little to no team experience. Each CLUBHOOPS® START class focuses on building better ball handling, layups, shooting, footwork, & confidence while also teaching players to love the game of basketball.

Class Requirements:
To meet CLUBHOOPS® START prerequisites an athlete must:

Must be in 1st grade or 6+ years old.

CLUBHOOPS Instructors have the right to place players in a class based on their skill level.
Class Structure:

Each season is 12 weeks with one 60-minute class per week.

Maximum of 15 players per class.
Syllabus:
Class Length: 60 minutes

Station 1 - Stationary Ball Handling

Station 2 - Stationary Dribbling

Station 3 - Dribbling On The Move

Station 4 - Stationary Footwork

Station 5 - Passing

Station 6 - Shooting/Finishing

Station 7 - Shooting/Finishing on the Move
Skill Assessments:
A Skills Assessment will be administered at the conclusion of each season.

Athletes will be tested on randomly selected drills from the curriculum.

Athletes must pass the Skills Assessment to progress to the next class level.

Athletes that do not pass the Skills Assessment will be permitted to take an additional Skills Assessment based upon instructor availability.

Skills Assessments will be administered on the final class of the season.
